I know alot of photographers who blog who have groups like this where you can participate in submitting a photo to challenge your skills but alot of them are then judged and heavily critiqued and I didnt want that. I want to create a place for all levels of skill can participate and show off their pictures. So I have created a spot on my facebook page www.facebook.com/madebyheatherpalmer an event at http://www.facebook.com/?ref=tn_tnmn#!/events/290306594353250/ where you can see each week’s theme and post your pictures onto the wall to show off your creations!
If I am the only one posting images then that is the way it is, no worries. I’m not a big fan of posting images onto facebook due to privacy concerns and such but then I realized the only spot for you to view my work is on my site at www.captureanddesign.com (which is still under construction and is on my list to do ASAP) so this gives me a chance to show off my love of photography.
This being the first week the theme is New Years. So I submitted 2 fun images in this theme, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Winter Weather is great for photos
Hello there. It’s been too long since I blogged last. URGH. time just slips away and I havent a clue where it went. Between photo shoots, sick kids, trying to get my own family photo to put in our holiday cards and updating my website its been a zoo around here. I am excited though I am sooo close to choosing a print lab that I can smell it. Im just waiting on my test images to come back so if I like them than I can post my print packages for you.

Wow – this past week has flown by. Seriously..what day of the week is it??
As I blogged earlier I redid my welcome pages for my facebook pages last week, then this past weekend I had the opportunity to capture an amazing family with my camera… so I have been busy editing and playing with the images to get some proofs to them to pick which ones they want to keep. I did post a few sneak peeks on my facebook page you can check them out there. But facebook is doing something weird. Its uploader is blowing images out and pixelating them and not making them look nice at all.
And I have been working like a mad man on my website trying to get it up to date and looking what I think will be great! It’s just frustrating how I do a page, post it and the next day I notice something wrong so I have to go back and re do it… this process is never ending..it’s kinda like that song “this is the song that doesnt end..it goes on and on my friend, some people starting singing it not knowing what it was and they’ll continue singing it forever just because…” ok I will stop singing now…
And on top of all the fun my 2 kids have kept me going like the energizer bunny all week too, colds and flus are gone and energy levels are back up!

Alright I know I know… but I really didnt like the look of my site so its under construction again. You can still view my galleries, but I am cleaning them up, and im working on package deals so none of my prices are listed but you can always contact me for my “cheap” prices. So please be patient as I work on my page and try to make it what I think is amazing.
On a side note..im looking for you to shoot this october in the backdrop of a beautiful fall day before the snow comes… so contact me today before spots fill up!!

My girlfriend and her family stopped by for a visit on their way north. 6 kids in total playing in the backyard having fun. I got caught up in the whole havent seen you in forever conversation that I almost forgot my camera (oopps). I did manage to get in a few shots as unprepared as I was. So there I am trying to chase the kids around the yard and get a few shots of them. I succeeded and man are these kids cute. Thanks for the visit Leah!!
